The Kranman Bison 11,000 is one of this year’s new models from Kranman. It is as easy to drive as the smaller Bison machines. The uniqueness of the Bison 11,000 is the chassis, with the help of high-strength steel the chassis becomes more rigid and stronger without adding unnecessary weight. This makes it possible to mount the segment’s longest and most powerful crane, the Kranman M56, which has a range of 5.6 meters.
Bison 11,000 has a load capacity of 3000 kg. The machine has a hydrostatic drive. This means that the machine has a step-less pedal that regulates speed. If you release the pedal, the machine stops and it stops until you press the pedal again. The direction of travel is selected with a button next to the chair. If the double command is selected, there is also a driving pedal on the floor at the back. With a Bison 11,000, you do a very efficient job. You can sit backward and drive the machine on a work lap, release the pedal, load on the log and when you press the pedal again you are off. This is without having to let the machine idle, put in and out of the gear or pull the handbrake.
Bison 11,000 is incredibly smooth thanks to the well-thought-out placement of the waist almost midway between the front and rear wheels. This means that the trolley on the machine will minimize at full throttle. The diesel engine in the machine is a tried and tested Kubota 902D that operates two hydrostatic pumps and one gear pump. A hydrostatic pump for the drive on the rear and one for the front and a gear pump for the crane and steering. The rear and the front have their own hydraulic motors, which means minimal moving parts. The control of the hydrostat is mechanical with servo hydraulics which contributes to a very reliable machine.
The chassis is constructed with the lowest point of 31 cm from the ground and a clearance height of 35 cm, which gives the highest clearance in its class. With a width of 155 cm and a low centre of gravity, the machine becomes very stable. Bison 11,000 has the high and low gear (7 and 3.5 km / h, respectively). Both low and high gear have 6-wheel drive. Transport gear is available as an option, then the machine runs at 14 km / h. Other options include a cab with heat and shock absorbers that make driving softer.
All Bison can be driven on a dolly wagon thanks to the fact that the rear roller can easily be uncovered.
